Fabulous Redheads

One of the first redheads I remember watching in a movie was the beautiful Judy Garland as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. When her house landed in Munchkin Land and she stepped out of her house and the movie was in color and she had red hair ! RED HAIR ! For me this was a big deal since the only other redhead I could identify with in the movies was Ariel.

not so realistic once you hit ten years old

Judy Garland could sing, dance, and act. It wasn't until my grandmother's funeral when I was 11 that I realized another reason why I loved Judy Garland. My grandmother looked alot like her when she was younger. There is a picture of my grandmother posing on a diving board at a pool and I swear it's Judy Garland. The same hair, the smile, and the timeless beauty that never fades.

Powerful and Beautiful all at once.
Meet me in St. Louis

We may only make up 2-6% of the United States population - but that is one hell of a group of redheads.

For me Judy Garland was relateable and made me feel proud to be a redhead.

Oh and don't forget she did give us Liza !
